Chris’s Classics with Chris McLeod

Chris has lived in Kambah in the Tuggeranong Valley since 1975 so is a long standing “native” who retired from Commonwealth Public Service in 2000. After retiring Chris took up the bagpipes and has since played with Canberra City Pipes and Drums/Australian Federal Police Pipes and Drums in the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, the Basel Tattoo, the Moscow Tattoo, the Adelaide Police Tattoos, a special trip to Norfolk Island and numerous country town and local fetes and other celebrations. Since 2013, he has also been playing with the City of Queanbeyan Pipes and Drums.

Having studied classical classical fiddle from the age of seven, Chris now plays mainly Celtic folk and dance music and has played at many ceilidhs (socials), nursing homes, schools and family parties. His musical tastes cover a wide range of genres and instruments and both my programs reflect this. Chris has a large collection of CDs and “vinyls” and he also has a Facebook page called “Chris’s Music” which covers both programs.
