Singing like you have never heard it before will amaze you with what the human voice is capable of. In what The Song Company’s singers are calling a program of “extreme singing”, Songs of Rosa Mystica will surround you with sounds full of energy, virtuosity and techniques for the human voice that you will have never heard before.

The ensemble will be directed by guest director Jack Symonds (Sydney Chamber Opera) and feature works by Benjamin Britten, Kaija Saariaho, Jack Symonds, Michael Tippett and Melbourne composer Elliott Gyger’s piece “Ficta” that – when originally commissioned and performed by The Song Company in 1994 for its 10th anniversary – inspired the singers to measure consequent work complexity according to a “Ficta scale” (0-“Ficta”, with “zero” being the easiest).

For one night only!
