How do I update my contact information?
Use the contact form on web or call (02) 6296 6895 during business hours (9am – 5pm weekdays) and speak to one of our friendly volunteers.
How do I get my event plugged on Valley FM?
Just fill in the event form to let us know about it. It’s that easy.
How can I become a presenter at Valley FM?
Please visit our page on becoming a presenter.
I’m a member of Valley FM. Can I have a look around the station?
Yes, we hold an Open Day once a year, and you’ll hear about it on Valley FM.
Can I podcast Valley FM programs?
No. Podcasts that include commercially available music are not available because of the high costs of licensing such music for download. Legally, downloading is different from streaming. Streaming our live broadcast or archived programs and interviews does not save a file to your device or computer. More info on how to listen is here.
How do I find out more about music played on a program?
Go to the program grid. Find the program that matches the day and time of the music you are interested in. Follow the link to the program page and select the date of the episode you wish to view.
If you can’t find the playlist or the detail you need, use the contact page to contact the announcer directly. Give as much info as you can to help them answer your enquiry.
How can I speak to an announcer?
Wait for a music break in the program and call. Since broadcasting involves multi-tasking and concentration, announcers may not be able to accommodate a long conversation.
Is my gift to Valley FM tax deductible?
At this stage no, unfortunately. Although Valley FM is registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, it does not have what the Australian Taxation Office calls ‘Deductible Gift Recipient’ (DGR) status.
We are looking into what’s required to obtain DGR status, but in the meantime we would still really appreciate your help.
I’d like to obtain paid work at Valley FM. Where do you advertise?
Valley FM is completely volunteer run so there are no paid employment opportunities at the station. Paid employment opportunities in community radio in general are rare. If you want to get involved, join up and volunteer. We are always happy to welcome new people on board.
